Key Largo Conch House

I can think of so many things to share about the Keys but now that we are back home I definitely want to explore writing about other content. Nonetheless though, I can’t wrap up my posts about the keys without sharing about my favorite breakfast spot!

If I’m being honest, I can’t say we ate out for breakfast very often. Usually we were trying to get out on the water by a certain time, relaxing at the house and not wanting to rush anywhere, or it was a workday and a long breakfast wasn’t a possibility. When we did go out to eat for breakfast though, our favorite spot was definitely the Key Largo Conch House!

In my opinion the restaurant looks like a quintessential keys restaurant or house! It’s typical keys style architecture and kind of quirky!

There is an indoor area, but we usually like to sit outdoors since they have a cute little courtyard and fortunately there are fans. It’s also very pet friendly and obviously if our dog Jeter is going to join, we need to sit outdoors.

It’s an island state of mind so in my opinion, if you are going to breakfast in the keys, you need to have a mimosa! They have different styles including Key Lime, Mango, and of course you can always get the classic style mimosa. I can’t remember if I tried Key Lime once upon a time but I did try Mango this visit and the classic of course! Mango is a little sweet so my preference is the classic since I am not huge on sweet stuff but it it’s still definitely worth a try especially if you like Mango!

On this particular visit I went with the Portobello Benedict. It’s a good way to get veggies in with your breakfast and it’s delicious! On other occasions though I have also gone with the ‘build your own’ omelet which I like with onions, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. Peter enjoys the Cracked Conch Benedict.

It’s delicious food, a great a keys vibe, and pet friendly if you don’t want to leave your fur baby at home. If you are looking for somewhere to have breakfast in the Upper Keys this would definitely be my first recommendation!

Thanks for visiting!
